Today we’re going to tell you all about a young lady called TIA…

There’s a lot we could say about Tia. We’ll start with this. We’ve known Tia since the very beginning. She started coming in to do her homework when she was 13, and she quickly became engaged with the project. She’d come along to events, attend our youth club and just pop in for a chat when she needed us.

She was excited when she could finally volunteer here aged 16 – but in reality, she’d already been a massive part of what we did, and she represented everything that this place is about, for a long time.

Throughout all the highs and lows of the past four years Tia’s been there chatting away and generally brightening up the place. It has been an honour to watch her develop into the person she is today. A kind and passionate human being who always makes the best of whatever life throws at her. Everyone on the Staff Team has a Tia story. But we won’t share them, or tell her what they are.

Tia’s a really talented photographer, and some of her work is currently displayed on the walls of the Café, if you’re interested in taking a look. We’d urge you to, it’s terrific!

Today Tia leaves for London, and the start of her own adventure and the beginning of her new life. We couldn’t be prouder. It’s been such a privilege to watch you grow up, Tia, and we know you’re going to be just fine.

All our love,
The INDIE Staff

Anyway, here she is. Being marvellous in a tree.
