We are excited to announce Scunthorpe’s 1st ever (to our knowledge) Zine Fest! We’re handpicking the best zine makers locally and nationally for a special event on 30th of July at Cafe Indie on Scunthorpe High Street. Come along from 11am until 4pm to snap up the finest underground literature. Where we will have Zinesters, writers and artists tabling to display, sell and share their zines.

Attending the event is free and open to all ages. The coffee machine will be ready to go for all your caffeine needs. Snacks will be on offer. Car parking is available behind the venue in Mary Street Car Park for free.

— What is a Zine? —

A Zine is a small, often self-printed, self-published document. It often takes the form of a booklet. Zines can be about anything. Some might be like comics or poetry books, others might be motivational and some are just for fun.
They can be funny, they can be sad or serious. But they are mainly an exercise in self expression and artistic discussion!
There may be some zines that are not suitable for all, but we have enough variety to make sure there is something for all audiences.
