First discovered while busking on the streets of Manchester, new indie talent Alex Spencer has already been hailed as one of the UK’s most promising songwriters at just 16 years old.
Combining infectious guitar lines with his street-savvy voice and coming-of-age tales of youthful exuberance, Alex’s rousing debut EP ‘One Step Forward’, which was recorded when Alex was still at school, reflects a maturity and natural songwriting ability far beyond his years. The EP was met with widespread acclaim and earned radio play from BBC 6 Music, Radio X, XS Manchester and BBC Introducing.
Signed to hit-making indie label Modern Sky UK (Red Rum Club, The Coral, The Lottery Winners, The Lathums), Alex’s unique talent and incredible personal story caught the attention of national press as his music was broadcast to the world via BBC News’ TikTok, ITV’s Granada reports and The Premier League’s Global show. Following on from his busking roots, Alex has become renowned for his captivating live performances and has gone on to support the likes of Jamie Webster at a packed out O2 Victoria Warehouse and Miles Kane at two nights at Camden’s Electric Ballroom as well as headlining and selling out one of his home city’s most iconic venues, The Deaf Institute, and becoming the first musician to ever perform live on Sky Sports’ news.
Alex’s momentum is refusing to let up and 2024 promises even bigger live shows and new music on the way very soon.
Erupting from the North, Hull band BREEZE are setting the standard for upcoming artists within the Indie genre. Formed back in October 2021, brothers Albert, Harry & Alfred Anderson teamed up with mate Declan Rodgers to release their debut single ‘Touch the Sky’, thrusting the unknown four piece into orbit and turning heads across the country with their own brand of explosive indie rock.
2022 saw the band take the limelight by storm in their first year, with the exhilarating ‘Eyes Wide Open’ capturing the attention of celebs such as Robert Carlyle, who tweeted ’90s style goodness……Top tune’. Hot on the heels of ‘Eyes Wide Open’ came ‘Adrenaline’, a track with ‘killer riffs…. and a must for any Indie Rock lovers’ (Right Chord Music). Both singles achieved outstanding results, dazzling the fans and setting the band up as well-established indie rockers. ” – Westview Live via Ticketsource.
