Event Details

The Utopiates were formed under the dark clouds of the pandemic and only launched in January ’21 but already the accolades are stacking up (BBC Radio 6 Music DJ, Steve Lamacq/Radio X’s John Kennedy).
They’re extremely confident that 2023 is the year they claim much wider attention and stake a serious claim as one of rock ‘n’ rolls brightest new talents. They aim to bring the masses the kind of groove-filled rock ‘n’ roll tunes not heard for a long time.

Rising indie-rock outfit The Utopiates (V2 Records) are hitting the ground running in 2023. Their new single ‘Making History’ (released 3rd Feb) is already making waves and they were quick to follow it up with their debut album ‘The Sun Also Rises’ released on the 5th May.

“Timeless … big guitar groove outfit” Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 6.
“A hypnotic and kaleidoscopic onslaught of groove and guitars” – Gigslutz

Shade are a brand new, exciting alt-rock band hailing from the UK’s most vibrant music hub: Manchester. The four piece (Luke, Adam, Macca & Oliver) incorporate a huge, layered, powerful energy into their distinct Manchester sound, and with their striking guitars & punchy, melodic vocals, there are clear influences from their hometown greats. Shade are set to lead the march of the new era of Manchester bands hitting the airwaves.

Dirty Blonde are a fierce female alternative duo comprising members Ailis Mackay and Hayley Tait.
Hailing from Manchester, the duo have quickly gathered pace amongst key tastemakers and were praised as ‘one of the most exciting acts to come through Radio 1’s Future Alternative’.
Dirty Blonde represent a cool rock northern vibe with a twist of punk in the mix.

“Amazon-esque vibes that have already drawn the attention of Liam Fray, Radio 1 & Radio X.” Gigwise
